The Ma Hawa brand is part of Abu Dhabi-based Baynunah Watergeneration Technologies SP and was established in 2021, in partnership with Watergen Inc. Ma Hawa leverages the water generation technology from Watergen to produce and distribute high-quality drinking water-from-air in the Middle East and North Africa region. In just a few years of its existence, Ma Hawa has made giant strides in leading the local water-from-air industry with innovative solutions and moving closer to building a water-secure future. Being in KEZAD enabled this Made-in-UAE brand to solidify its position, enhance operational efficiency and meet its sustainability goals.

REQUIREMENTS
Ma Hawa’s requirement was to build its water generation and distribution operations efficiently, cost-effectively and sustainably in the UAE and MENA. In order to meet this need, they needed a strategic location with close connectivity to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and regional markets. They also had to consider space and world-class infrastructure allowing them to expand their operations and double their production capacity in the future. In addition, they wanted a friendly business environment that would support them to grow from a nascent brand to a regional leader in sustainable water technology.

From its 510 square metre facility, Ma Hawa has built a production line with water generation capacity of 12,000 litres per day and 4,000 bottles per hour serving the hospitality industry, the oil and gas sector and government entities.
